IGS officers and members of the organizing committee are giving their all to make the 11ICG a successful and memorable event. The 11th International Conference on Geosynthetics will continue in the ICG tradition of excellence, providing a forum for engineers, practitioners and academia from various regions to explore current and future potential applications for geosynthetics.

As lessons learned from case histories are of particular importance in geosynthetics engineering, the Scientific Committee of the 11ICG has decided to have chapter papers specifically focused on “Case histories of geosynthetics engineering practice.” This initiative is designed to highlight regional experiences of geosynthetics engineering and to encourage practicing engineers to submit more papers.

In view of this, the Scientific Committee of the 11ICG requests your chapter to submit ten chapter papers. You could organize a “call for chapter papers” and “selection of ten papers” for your own chapter. Selected chapter papers from your chapter will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee of the 11ICG for review. Please note that submission of abstracts and full papers should be organized by your chapter. For logistical purposes, the following are the important dates for chapter papers.

  • Submission deadline of selected abstracts to Scientific Committee: February 28, 2017

  • Submission deadline of full papers to Scientific Committee: November 31, 2017

  • Notification of acceptance from Scientific Committee: January 31, 2018

  • Final full paper submission deadline to Scientific Committee: April 31, 2018

Submission of abstracts and full papers should be made to the conference secretariat, Ms. Youngsu Park at paper@11icg-seoul.org. Please find the attached abstract submission form. A template for full paper will be sent out once it has been finalized.
